Do I even qualify to file for divorce in Michigan?

If you have lived in-state at least 180 days and in the filing county 10 days prior to starting the suit, then yes, you qualify to file for a Michigan divorce. Because Michigan is a no-fault divorce state, the residency requirements and testimony that there has been a breakdown in the marital relationship are all that is required.
